Jan. 30th, 2012

Well I'm feeling pretty good this whole day(knocking on wood). Altho late to work, because Ke... woke up late and I had to pick her up, traffic was pretty good and we got to work with 5 min to spare and just relax.

Kaneohe(our musician) got a new truck, and it was kind of hectic talking with him about what we were doing because he wanted me to go with him instead of Ke... to check and see if his truck would fit in the Trade Center parking lot. lol we figured it out in like a full minute of talking and him walking back to the van like 3x changing his mind and asking more questions. Ke... went the She-she instead of I and it turned out well. Hale Koa was pretty cold Lan(the hostess) was awesome and had our muffins ready to eat when we left. Summarized, Kane's truck fit(w/an inch to spare from the roof of the parking structure), I had an amazing 7-11 breakfast bento of adobo and fried rice, and a had good day in Waikiki doing hours and performing at the Marriott hotel. While at the Marriott Colt Brennan, UH qb alum, took a pic of us with some tourists. He's a way cool guy, my co-workers had no idea who he was so I told them, and Ke... ran after to take a picture with him(before I told her who he was she tht he was a perv-she's killing me haha).

Drove home, changed, went back to PCC, finished hours and the bonuses, stopped by my brother's to find no one home, saw Just running to lift at his cousin's house and tht, "Freck... I'm supposed to match(look like) him", for our Philadelphia trip coming up at the end of Feb. Eeeeeeeeh! Tonight I'll run and do vball after the ward Home Evening(if I don't get called in).

Read part of the SS lesson for Sunday and must be in the right spirit 'cause I got so much out of it. The lesson's on 1 Nephi 16-18 and studying Nephi's obedience, faith, and courage. God is good and does a lot of miracles in their lives. I hope I'll be able to point out the miracles in my life(like my swollen lymph node going away! =) lol.

Okay... gtg and watch an Oct. 2011 Gen Conf talk. PEACE!

1/29 Sunday 2012

I love Sundays when I do it right. I've been up since 815ish and been prepping my lesson for EQ next week and going over New Year's resolutions(while listening to Rebecca Lopez' There is Hope jam=).

I watched OCT 2011 GC's talk by Elder Richard G. Scott, The Power of Scripture, am fixing this blog, and hope to start reading up on EQ lesson in 2 weeks.

Just got done with reviewing suggestions of the brethren in EQ and they were good ones. Most popular were Go Karts, Scripture reading, Temple attendance, Home Teaching, and service projects. Funniest suggestions, I thought, were rest hymns, food, snacks, self defense, food eating contest, and pinewood derby LoL! I really hope we do these haha

Great and abominable church

So I just got done reading 1 Nephi chapters 13-14 and there are some good stuff to think about. Especially in regards to the horrible church mentioned which I can't help but think about. Now I've heard a past apostle say it's a specific church, and I've heard a prophet come out and say it's not a specific church.

I wonder if it refers to media, politics, etc. I can see how those things can could remove many plain and precious truths, etc. Yet they do some good as well. Hmmm... I was even wondering if it's just anything that has to deal with being worldly. Because it seems like anything worldly is of the devil and the devil's church. It can be pride, sin, lust, coveting, etc.

Sooooo I'm excited for SS to see what apostate answers I'll hear(LoL) and especially for some new insights.

Ko Olina! =)

Yesterday afternoon and evening my sisters, brothers, I and some cousins went to the Ko Olina resort to swim, bbq, and eat with Uncle Sam and Aunty Lori in their time share. IT WAS BOMB! 3 pools, 1 lagoon... YEAH! I scared 'noke in the water fall at one of the jacuzzis, then out at the fishing net with 'liki. LoL those kids are so funny. Then the evening was spent cracking up at Sina in the hotel room. We stopped at the Kunia Walmart and I bought some movies(WWJD, Ferngully, Diary of  Whimpy Kid, and Sword in the Stone).

Today I woke up so late, 9:25 am, but it's ok because I'm off. Buuuuut I wanna go to the doctor's for my stupid rash but apparently there's no record of me having insurance. Eeeeh. So I'm waiting for a call from my work's insurance rep. Dang it.

Book of Mormon

So I think I want to blog about my Book of Mormon(BofM) study for Sunday School(SS)! Today will be short 'cause... yeah LoL. We did the 3rd lesson yesterday so I'll just type my thoughts and notes I've made.

Intro: I really like this because it flat out says, "You share with your Gospel Doctrine teacher the responsibility to help the class be successful." So don't come to church expecting to be served spiritual experiences on a silver platter(unless you're in/less active and coming back to church). Part of the whole spiritual experience comes from at-home preparation(I think).

One think from the entry I think I need to work on is asking questions, and bear testimony.

Lesson 2: My favorite scripture so far for the year, "And it came to pass that I said unto them that I knew that I had spoken ahard things against the wicked, according to the truth; and the righteous have I justified, and testified that they should be lifted up at the last day; wherefore, the bguilty taketh thectruth to be hard, for it dcutteth them to the very centerThis applies to everyone for sure.

Lesson 3: The Vision of the Tree of Life was a great lesson where I learned and emphasized even more on how we need to be proactive on things and not wait to be told. Laman and Lemuel are a bad example  in 1st Nephi 15 where they say they don't know the interpretations of the symbols from the vision because no one has told them what it means. Nephi was a great example because he sought out, through prayer, what they mean. He didn't sit around and wait to be told what they mean.

I thought about how Laman and Lemuel are a lot like members in the Church who just go through the motions, do what their parents say, and then when they venture off on their own they fall away and apostate from the Church because they never figured out things on their own.

And even in Sunday School I see kids who come, sit, are quiet, don't participate, and probably don't study for the lesson, then think class is so boring, they don't learn anything, and then end up on the in/less active list for the ward and it takes a while before they realize how they can get active again.

Well that's it. Sorry for the bad grammar... I gtg to work.

Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012

Today was... frustrating, great, funny, tiring, exciting, lol. Royals was frustrating w/being late(for many different odd reasons), odd seating w/the younger person not sitting in the back-so I had to, the musicians singing Te Ihinga in the wrong key and even the wrong notes, yet our crowd was the biggest ever. But it was Si and Farwyn's last day and it was a good show over all. Kei came, and we had 7 girls and 3 guys. I can't wait for our farewell party next week(it should be good).

Moanikeala with my curry plate was da bomb, and hanging out backstage with everyone was fun of course. I went Foodland to return my In My Sleep dvd, then home and did my dishes(which saved me a lot of time after work to finish some more dishes), and then went back to work for Night Show(NS).

NS was fun... I took my fake gum(shocker) and shocked Tilo, Tui, Kilo, Lucky... that's all I can remember lol. Jo scared me up on the mtn while getting ready for torch carrier(in the beginning of the show), Megan's Tahitit solo was the best I've ever seen yet, and Lucky was cracking me up with his comments about her moves(bumble bee, and idk what he said lol). Too funny my job(ugh... I can't wait to get a real job tho).

2nd entry 2012

So today's my day off and it's been pretty good. I woke up at a decent time, around 820, watched half of a movie(Snow Flake and the secret fan), updated my Run U Fat Slob playlist, went on a 40 min job at the beach(Hukilau to Castle's), ate, finished the movie, and am going to make a good effort to go to the temple-I think I'll do initiatories. I was going to put it off 'til next week for Ward Temple Night but who knows, I might get called in to work or something.

I exercised but now my legs hurt and I don't want to do anything so I'm trying to force myself. LoL Happy Pay Day! =)

Maui Promo Trip-Maui News!!! =)

So here's an article of our DAY TRIP to Maui for a Ha Promo.... LoL http://www.mauinews.com/page/content.detail/id/556911.html

Happy New Year! 2012 and now I'm 28! =/

Well I'm supposed to be starting a new blog of some sort but I'll stick w/this one until I can figure out what to do. I was just watching L. Tom Perry's Oct. 2011 General Conference talk, Perfect Love Casteth Out Fear, and it was a great inspiration on sharing the gospel and making it a habit to do always. That is something I've been trying to work on as I have like 8 pass-a-long cards in my man purse that I carry with me EVERYWHERE.

This might seem like a tangent but as I was watching the talk I couldn't help but think about... crap I forgot what I was going to write... oh yeah it was about the 3 degrees of glory and how in the Gospel Prinicples manual last year it said that those who accept the gospel in the next life don't make it past the Terrestrial kingdom... but then it made me think then why do we do ordinances for them, like sealing, which is somthehing we do to obtain the HIGHEST degree in the Celestial Kingdom?

Anyways I don't wanna spend too much time on here otherwise I'll won't come back on for a while.

So I turned 28 yesterday, on MLK Jr holiday(again), and spent the morning and early afternoon w/most of the fam(except Gma and Dad) at Kualoa ranch on ATVs, eating a delicious Chinaman's Hat burger, petting animals, watching a 10" clip about the ranch, and going on a Jungle Expedition in a jeepney. IT WAS BOMB! Especially on the ATV rides w/my brothers and mom. Mom and Evan were in the front 'cause they were the slowest in the trial run(LoL!). Evan was sooooo slow and cautious, but Darrell and Sterling were reckless. First Darrell flipped over on his ATV and got stuck under it, LoL, so he wasn't allowed to ride anymore(had to ride on the back of the guides ATV then got picked up by the Jeep "of shame". Then Sterling that dummy almost ran into me and so overtook my trying to play it off like nothing was wrong... and of course at the end of the ride when we've gotten off he says and laughs, "Oh shoot! I didn't know had 2 breaks!" eeeeeeeh! I am not surprised.

Sina had fun w/the pig, baby goats, rabbits, and calf and donkey at the petting zoo.
